As someone who has minimal time for minimalist music I never really got the hype with James Blake and a couple of months ago Retrograde fully passed me by like a selfie from an averagely attractive person on an Instagram feed - or a below par music blog in the world of the internet - but his latest offering Voyeur features a cow bell and a hefty drop after the three minute mark, both of which rate very highly in my list of rhythmical appeals. This is ripped straight from Mary Anne Hobbs 6 Music show on Saturday mornings, definitely worth listening for an "eclectic" (Mike Crook, 2013) ensemble of old and current catches -
